South West Regional Elite and Club Grades

The Mens Artistic Gymnastics South West Grades 2013 took place on Sunday 15th September in North Devon.
The top boys from across the seven counties of the region took part in the competition which is designed to provide a progressive pathway to top class gymnastics.
From the 112 gymnasts participating the top few boys in each level and age group are selected to compete for their region at the National Finals.
In Club Grade 3 Sam Haberfield was the Champion winning the gold medal overall and he will lead the SW team at the National Finals.
In Club Level 6 Harry Andrews won the silver medal overall and will also go to the National Finals in six weeks time.
In Elite Level 1 Haydn May completed the set of medals for the Hawks boys winning the bronze medal overall to also gain a place on the SW team to the GB finals.
In Club Level 1 Pete Carter narrowly missed a place to finals coming 7th overall (6 in the team) and Dylan Hunt placed 13th in a strong field of 20 gymnasts.
In Club Level 4 Troy Fyfe also narrowly missed selection placing 6th overall (5 in team).
It was a great day with all the Hawks boys producing a 9+ [out of 10] routines on at least one apparatus.
