Gold, Silver & Bronze for Kathryn

Not one for an easy life, Bristol University Chemistry student Kathryn Heathcote likes to relax from her studies by putting in hours of training at Bristol Hawks Gymnastics! Her efforts paid off this Sunday when she won Gold for her expressive floor routine in the top level section of the British University Championships held at Rushmoor Gymnastics Academy in Aldershot. Kathryn placed second in the overall standings and also won the Silver medals on both Vault and Bars plus Bronze on the beam. Kathryn doesn’t just train at Hawks but also spends time both coaching and judging for the club.
In the mens section former Bristol Hawks champion gymnast Sean Eyles [many of you will know him as our compere at the Christmas Display] picked up medals for his Birmingham University team placing third in the Level 2 team event, 4th in the individual overall standings and 3rd on the vault
