Fabulous Results at Falcons

The Bristol Hawks mens artistic team travelled to Falcons Gym this weekend to take part in the South West Regions Club Grade Qualifiers. The top six boys in Level 1 & 2; top 5 in Level 3 & 4 and top 4 in Level 5 & 6 will represent the region at the National Finals in Birmingham later in the year. It was a highly successful championships for Bristol Hawks with all our boys placing well in their respective age groups.
Competing in Level 1 Under Age [these boys are practising for next years competition] where Jay Franklin, Noah Ford and Callum Honey.

All the boys showed their class with Jay winning top honours placing first in the All Around [AA] and top scoring on both Vault and High Bar. Noah placed 2nd in the AA and produced a fantastic Physical Preparation Programme [PPP] placing first in both this apparatus and Parallel Bars. Callum showed good height in his Vault to place 2nd on this apparatus and 5th in the AA.

In Level 1 Shay Van Hinds & Freddie Butchers placed 6th & 7th respectively in the AA with new comer to Bristol Hawks Alf Mc Cullough placing 15th. Shay showed good shape on his circles on Pommels to place 2nd and Freddie scored a 9.6 for the third best score of the day on his strong Parallel Bars routine. Alf’s best apparatus was Rings where he showed high swings and a strong routine.

In Level 2 Dylan Hunt placed 2nd on both Floor and Pommels Horse and produced a steady set of scores which were just marred by low swings on High Bar taking him to a 9th overall finish.
In Level 3 Theo Birakos swung well on Rings and Parallel Bars for 3rd place finish on both these routines and placed 6th AA.

In Level 4 Newcomer to Bristol Hawks – Bill Mc Cullough showed his strength on the Rings where he was the top scorer and also placed 1st on Parallel Bars; 2nd on Floor & Pommel Horse and 3rd on Vault & AA.
In Level 5 Troy Fyfe made the SW Team for the first time reflecting the progress he has made this year. He placed 2nd= on Parallel Bars and 3rd on PPP; Rings and AA.
