Kathrine wins Three Golds & a Silver

Bristol University student Kathrine Heathcote took part in the highest level of the BUSA [British Universities] Gymnastic Championships held in Aldershot on February 11th 2012. In a close competition Katherine was top scorer on three out of the four apparatus but a fall on bars dropped her to second place in the overall standings. Kathrine a second year undergraduate juggles her high powered Chemistry Degree with her training, coaching and judging at Bristol Hawks.

Also competing in the Level 2 Mens section was former Bristol Hawks Elite gymnast Sean Eyles who regularly compares our Christmas Display Evening. Sean is currently at Birmingham University and his team took the bronze medals with Sean winning a silver medal for his straight tsukahara vault and placing 4th in the individual AA. Also in action, coaching was former Bristol Hawks Elite gymnast Stacey Godden whose Cardiff Team placed 4th.
