World Cup Gold for Claudia

Claudia & her Bristol Hawks coach Helen travelled to Paris to represent Great Britain at the World Cup held on 14th -17th September.
Also representing GB at this event was rising star Georgia Mae Fenton & her coach Lorraine Atkinson.
With the World Championships just two weeks away many of the Worlds best gymnasts were using this competition as part of their build up, making for a top quality large field on all apparatus.
For both Claudia & GMF qualifications on the Saturday went well with Claudia qualifying for both beam & floor and Georgia qualifying for bar final. For finals on Sunday the French put on a fantastic show with a sell out crowd, loud music, flame throwers all helping to create the ‘big event’ atmosphere.
Claudia was an absolute star hitting her high difficulty on beam for Bronze & producing a stunning floor routine to take GOLD over Romanian star Larisa Iordache in Silver & Ukrainian rising star Diana Varinska in Bronze.
