World School Games Qatar

Bristol Hawks Welsh International Shannon Lee ended her most successful gymnastic year so far on a high.
She travelled to the Middle East to represent the Welsh Team at the World School Games in Doha [the capital city of Qatar].
The competition is open to school age gymnasts [16yrs & under] from all ISF nations and in girls artistic gymnastics 82 gymnasts from 21 different nations participated.
The Welsh fielded a young team of 13 & 14yr year olds and put in a good all around team performance to place 6th overall. Shannon contributed well to the team score and also placed 20th overall individually. It was a fantastic trip and competing in the massive ‘Aspire’ dome against some of the World’s top junior gymnasts gave Shannon valuable experience for any future international assignments.
