Great team efforts across the board ensured a great end to the competitive year for Bristol Hawks at the West Country League Finals held at Melksham on the 21st & 22nd November.
Our top team ‘C’ League competes in the top division ‘The Premiership’ and won top honours for the third year in a row with Izzy Davies top scoring all around individually and every girl in our team contributing to the overall score of 142.45 winning the gold above The Academy in silver & Neath Afan in bronze.
Our young Premiership ‘B’ League team were just pipped into second place by Neath Afan but again it was a great team effort & again we had the top scorer individually in Roxanne Price.
In the Premiership ‘A’ league all our girls worked well to produce another hat-trick of three wins in the last three years winning gold over strong teams from Neath Afan in second and The Academy in third. Once again we had the top individual AA scorer in Mia Wilson plus Hazel Chambers top scored on Bars and Isabelle Arnott top scored on the Beam.
As we have for the last few years we fielded a very young team in the Division 1 ‘A’ League. This has proved to be an excellent training competition for our young gymnasts over the years and the fun team work atmosphere of this competition is an idea relaxed introduction to team events. They all competed well placing 4th as a team on the day and 5th for the year with valuable experience gained.
