South West Champion 2011

Bristol Hawks gymnast Claudia Fragapane underlined her recent run of fantastic results by winning the South West FIG Junior Championships in great style on Sunday 19th June. 13 year old Claudia was the top scorer from any age group and included two new elements that she is preparing for the British Championships to be held at the prestigious Echo Arena in Liverpool in July. Also competing for Bristol Hawks but in the South West Junior Challenge Cup section was Holly Downey who performed well to achieve 4th place. She also included a new element on bars & competed a well landed Piked Tsukahara to equal the highest score on vault. The Challenge section had the most gymnasts competing in it & is for gymnasts who have not yet qualified for the British Championships however the standard is still very high in this section.
