Christmas Display & BBC Sports Personality of the year 2014

This years Bristol Hawks Christmas Display was a fitting end to a fantastic year for the club. Our gymnasts have achieved at every level with once again record numbers of British Gymnastic Awards passed and County, Regional, National and International competitive successes achieved. Claudia’s successes at the Commonwealth Games added 4 CWG Gold medals to the 1 Gold 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals won by Bristol Hawks members over the years making an incredible 10 total medals. Impressive results at the World Championships and European Championships resulted in a ‘first ever’ for a Bristol Hawks gymnast [or any gymnast] when Claudia won the prestigious BBC ‘Young Sports Personality of the Year’ award. She received her award at a glittering red carpet event held in Glasgow.

Gymnasts from 4yrs to 18yrs took part in the display evening. The theme this year was “Hopes, Dreams and Wishes” and our gymnasts gave a wonderful show with a great range of interpretations to the packed audience. Our charity this year was the children’s medical charity ‘Sparks’ and over £340 pounds was raised on the night for this worthy cause.
