BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018

This year Bristol Hawks had 6 gymnasts taking part in the most prestigious competition in GB. The event is held in the impressive Echo Arena Liverpool and took place on the 8th-11th March.
Calum and Jay were both in the U’12 Section, competing very well with Jay finishing 22nd and Calum 25th out of 61 gymnasts. Calum excelled on Vault to gain a place in the apparatus finals. He went on to put in a great performance in the final finishing in 5th place with a well executed straight Tsukahara.
Roxanne and Mayalee were in the Espoir section & really enjoyed their first competition on a podium taking away some great experience for the future.
Emily competed in the Junior British Championships. The highlight of her competition was her bar routine where she finished 11th.
Caitlin having reached the qualifying score at the Challenge Cup was taking part in her first ever British Championships. She competed in the Senior British Championships with great class showing just how far she has come in a year. A particular highlight was her beautifully performed floor routine.
Well Done to all our gymnasts who represented themselves and our club beautifully we are very proud of you all. Congratulations also to Bristol Hawks coach Rory who at the British Championships, alongside Ionut Trandaburu from Pegasus GC, was awarded the Master Coach Award of Great Britain for his work in preparing World & Olympic International gymnasts for team GB
