Bristol Hawks Girls enjoy Splendid Day at South West Grades 2018

The Club & Regional Grades held on April 22nd proved to be long day of competition welcoming over 240 gymnasts from across the seven counties of the region.
Bristol Hawks girls all passed their respective grades with flying colours.
Round 1 & the day got off to a great start with Tamsin & Elissa excelling in Grade 4 particularly in the Range and Conditioning set where they both scored over 13. They both achieved distinctions & Tamsin’s beautifully performed new floor routine scored an amazing 13 securing her 1st place overall in this grade.
Round 2 & our Grade 6 gymnasts Lila-Rose & Mia were taking part in their first ever grade. They both put in impressively composed performances considering they have only just turned 7yrs, both achieving distinctions. In fact Lila performed incredibly well to place 1st out of the 58 competitors in this grade.
Round 3 & we saw all Lily’s hard work in training paying off when she competed brilliantly in Grade 3 to improve by over 4 marks from her control competition earning her a highly commended result and the admiration of all our coaches.

Round 4 and Erika & Chloe competed in Grade 5 right at the end of the day but did so with such joy & good humour putting a smile on everyone’s face. They both concentrated well when it mattered to achieve distinctions in the largest field of the day comprising over 70 competitors. Erika was the top scorer in her grade for the second year running. WELL DONE EVERYONE – and a special mention to the judges coaches officials & parent volunteers who put in extra hours of work to ensure the smooth running of this competition.
