Bristol Hawks Commonwealth Games Selections 2018

A brilliant start to the year saw Claudia Fragapane selected for the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast Australian. 4 X Commonwealth Gold medalist Claudia was excited to travel to Australia to defend her titles. Sadly it was not to be she sustained an achilles tendon rupture whilst preparing for the championships and was unable to take part.
Congratulations must also go to Rory Weavers who was selected as the England team coach for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Rory, who is a British Gymnastics International Performance Level Coach, was recently awarded the Master Coach of Great Britain Award for his outstanding contribution to the preparation of gymnasts for Team GB.
More congratulations are in order for James May who was selected as a judge for the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast Australia. When James was competing he won 5 Commonwealth Medals including a Gold on the Vault at the Aukland Games in New Zealand. James is one of the Worlds top judges and was recently elected onto the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) Men’s Technical Committee.
